O mandato do Escrit\u00f3rio inclui apoio ao trabalho dos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/SP\/HRBodies\/Pages\/HumanRightsBodies.aspx\">mecanismos internacionais de direitos humanos<\/a>.<\/p><p>O civil, as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es intergovernamentais e o sistema das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas na promo\u00e7\u00e3o e prote\u00e7\u00e3o dos direitos humanos nos seguintes pa\u00edses da regi\u00e3o:&nbsp;<strong>Argentina, Bol\u00edvia, Brasil, Chile, Equador, Paraguai e Uruguai.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para este fim, o Escrit\u00f3rio Regional do ACNUDH para a Am\u00e9rica do Sul conta com <strong>assessoras<\/strong> e assessores de direitos humanos que atuam nos Escrit\u00f3rios de Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas nos pa\u00edses sob seu mandato.<\/p>\n<p>O Representante Regional do ACNUDH na Am\u00e9rica do Sul \u00e9&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/acnudh.org\/pt-br\/nuevo-representante-de-onu-derechos-humanos-en-america-del-sur\/\" target=\"_blank\" Unidas.<\/p>\n<p>Apoiamos o trabalho dos mecanismos de direitos humanos da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas (ONU), que monitoram e cooperam com o cumprimento das obriga\u00e7\u00f5es e compromissos aceitos pelos Estados membros, derivados tanto da Carta das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas como dos tratados e outros instrumentos internacionais de direitos humanos.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m promovemos o direito ao desenvolvimento e a abordagem de direitos humanos em programas de desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel, principalmente no cumprimento de normas de direitos humanos universalmente
